The CWPharma project´s final seminar on the 18th of November 2020 attracted 131 attendees from over 15 countries. The seminar presentations are now available.

November is the time to wrap up the work of the CWPharma project. The final seminar of the project will be held on the 18th of November 2020. Actions needed to reduce pharmaceutical emissions in the Baltic Sea region

Since 2017 CWPharma project has worked to gather data on the consumption of pharmaceuticals and their concentrations in the environment, to identify the most problematic compounds and to find the best ways to decrease their emissions to the environment. One of the key findings is that twelve out of 75 studied pharmaceuticals were identified as a risk to the environment. The Action Plan for reducing emissions highlights the need for combination of emission reduction schemes.
