CWPharma Partners

CWPharma has 15 partners from 7 countries around the Baltic Sea. The wide expertise of the partners is crucial in this multidisciplinary project.

The Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE), German Environment Agency (UBA), Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LEGMC) and Estonian Environmental Research Centre (EERC) are leading environmental organizations in their countries.

The Finnish Medicines Agency, Fimea, is a national authority for regulating pharmaceuticals, active participant in the EU-wide drug regulatory network, and an information source to the Finnish healthcare sector.

The County Administrative Board (CAB) is the national government representative office in the county of Östergötland in Sweden.

The German Association for Water, Wastewater and Waste (DWA) and Estonian Waterworks Association (EVEL) are national associations of water companies with special focus on knowledge exchange amongst wastewater treatment plant operators.

The Tekniska Verken i Linköping AB in Sweden, Kalundborg Utility in Denmark and Helsinki Region Environmental Services Authority (HSY) in Finland bring in the experience of wastewater treatment plant operators especially in development of large-scale treatment processes and advanced treatment methods.

The Berlin Centre of Competence for Water (KWB) in Germany and Aarhus University (AU) in Denmark have expertise in e.g. developing technologies for removing micro pollutants from wastewater.

The Institute of Environmental Protection – National Research Institute (IOS) in Poland and Latvian Institute of Aquatic Ecology (LIAE) are national research institutes in the field of environmental protection.

The project has 18 associated organizations from Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Germany and Belarus.
